Ms. Joan M. Manter is the Principal of Manter Consulting bringing over 30 years of experience in strategic planning, market research and marketing.
Manter Consulting has worked with organizations in the hospital, healthcare, government, non-profit, professional services, affordable housing, long-term care, political, energy, statewide religious, senior services, disability, real estate and technology sectors.
Prior to creating Manter Consulting in 1996, Ms. Manter served as Senior Director of Planning, Marketing, and Market Research at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio, for OhioHealth. She initiated innovative service line marketing strategies, which contributed to growth in market share and revenue and developed numerous service line strategic planning and marketing plans.
In the insurance industry, Ms. Manter created and managed Central Benefits strategic planning, product development and market research functions. She was responsible for the corporate strategic plan, product development, marketing strategies for all ancillary insurance products and market research at this 19-state mutual insurance company.
As Senior Consulting Associate with Management Horizons, formerly a division of PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ms. Manter conducted industry studies, acquisition studies and other consulting services for firms such as Corning, Marshall Field, Pennsylvania House and United Telephone.
Ms. Manter has a Bachelor of Arts from Ohio University and a Master of Business Administration from The Ohio State University. She has held Assistant Professorships or Adjunct Faculty designations in business and marketing at Otterbein College, Franklin University and Marion Technical College. She has been a continuing adjunct professor at Ohio Wesleyan University since 2000 teaching marketing, market research and other business courses.
